Candle Care

1. Trim the Wick

  • Before each burn, trim the wick to about 5mm (1/4 inch).

  • This prevents black soot, uneven burning, and large flames.

2. Burn Until the Wax Pool Reaches the Edge

  • For the first burn, let the candle melt across the entire surface.

  • This can take 1–2 hours depending on the size.

  • Prevents “tunneling,” where wax only melts around the wick.

3. Do Not Burn for More Than 4 Hours at a Time

  • Extending burn time can lead to wick mushrooming and excessive heat.

  • Let the candle cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.

4. Keep the Candle Away from Drafts

  • Drafts can cause uneven burning, smoking, or flickering.

  • Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from open windows, fans, or air vents.

5. Keep the Wax Pool Clean

  • Remove wick trimmings, matches, or debris from the wax pool to avoid fire hazards.

6. Store Properly

  • Keep candles in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.

  • Sunlight can fade the fragrance and color over time.

7. Use a Candle Snuffer to Extinguish

  • Blowing out candles can cause wax splatter or wick misalignment.

  • A snuffer gently extinguishes without smoke or mess.

8. Stop Use When 1cm of Wax Remains

  • Prevents the container from overheating or breaking.

9. Never Leave a Burning Candle Unattended

  • Always extinguish before leaving the room or going to sleep.

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
